Music City EATS

One of the most exciting events ever to be held in the city of Nashville is coming up in just three weeks. Combining top tier chefs with super star musicians is such a brilliant concept, and this weekend extravaganza of food and music is going to be unlike any other. So, when I was asked to open my home as an ambassador on behalf of the planners for a kickoff, the answer was 'of course'. It was a super hot day, and once Tandy Wilson of City House began cooking in my kitchen.... things really started heating up (in a good way). It was a chance for key people to gear up and spread the word about the event. My friend, Amanda Hardin of High Heels to Hot Wheels was on hand to snap photos, and The Trunk was in the drive showcasing ideal event fashions.

If you don't know about this, you will want to check out Music City Eats online. The most famous chefs in the nation (so exited to see Giada and my other Food Network faves) are pairing with our own pool of culinary wizards like Tandy to create amazing samplings, expert panels and spectacular meals. I got a bit of what it's actually going to be like via the action during the kickoff. A passion for food and wonderful wines (our sponsor was Rodney Strong Wines, and they'll be pouring at the festival) crafted to appeal to Nashville's unique audience. This is going to be an intimate, one of a kind opportunity that will not only impress those attending, but gain national press for my hometown. Food and Wine Magazine is behind this-- so thrilling!

I love that there's a tribute to Tom Petty with artists like Kings of Leon (the founders of Music City Eats), Norah Jones, Emmy Lou Harris and others performing the best of Petty's music during the festival. At my house, we made sure that the tunes were playing while people became more intrigued with the event every moment. The value included in the ticket is definitely worth the money (and then some). After just a taste, I'm certain this will be completely over the top!

There are still tickets available online, but they won't last long now that so many big names have been announced. Don't miss your chance to get up close and personal with the talents participating. It is designed to be upscale, intimate and most of all, entertaining. Hope to see you there!
