Each spring for the past 11 years, I've had the privilege of working on a spectacular committee that puts on Kevin Carter's Waiting for Wishes dinner to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Celebrity waiters, a fantastic menu from The Palm Nashville restaurant and a lively, philanthropic crowd are all part of the mix.

This year was no exception, with local celebrities like my friend, Jonathan Cain of Journey getting involved to donate a bit of his rare wine to the live auction action. Overall, the event raises well over 6 figures to grant wishes to children who definitely deserve them. The spirit is all about supporting this cause—which makes it my favorite event of the year!
