'Cooling Off' Cocktail

When it's this hot, drinking anything but filtered water is a stretch. I don't want sweet juice, carbonation or the dehydrated feeling that most sugared concoctions give me. But, today I think I've discovered the one cocktail perfect for balmy summer evenings. Mixologist Nick Juhasz-Lukomski won't give me the increments (he's the guru behind Kayne Prime's bar), but he was willing to fess-up on the basic ingredients for this super-satisfying martini.

So refreshing... and not too sweet!

LAVENDER MARTINI
Stoli Vanilla
Lavender Syrup
Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake it up with ice, and garnish with a lemon twist

I haven't quite perfected it yet, but am guessing two parts vodka to the other components. Try the mixture at home and see if you can develop the high-end creation at your own bar. Better yet, enjoy the truly perfect, chilled mixture at the gorgeous bar at Kayne Prime, overlooking the train tracks and downtown Nashville. The perfect place to escape on a hot afternoon...
